About Fusion Metal Art
" I hope I can create a legacy for my girls because they mean the world to me. They inspire me and I hope I inspire them. "
~ Paul Silva
Fusion Metal Art, established in 2008, is a small company nestled in the Piney Woods of East Texas.
Paul Silva is the founder and metalsmith for Fusion. Known for having no boundaries when it comes to taking on new metal projects, Paul likes to push the limits and create things that have never been created before.
But it was Mundo Villapuvua, co-owner of Villa Montez in Tyler, TX, who encouraged Paul to turn his art talent into a fulltime business. Mundo has sold numerous Paul Silva pieces at his restaurant Villa Montez in Tyler, Texas, and coast to coast, from Florida to the Napa Valley of California.
Charlie Fernandes and Anthony Fernandes, a father and son duo, complement the talent at Fusion Metal Art by bringing expert care, craft, and artistry to every piece that comes out of the shop.
But the entire Silva family is involved too. Paul's wife Kelli and their five children Ashton, Alissa, Tatum, Jackson and Tucker all help with ideas, cleanup and materials pick-up.
Fusion Metal Art accepts commissions from all over the U.S. and the world. Some of their latest commissions include: Freddy Garcia, Major League baseball player, World Champion, and All Star pitcher with the New York Mets; Carlos Guillen, All Star shortstop with the Detroit Tigers; and Sam Adams, NFL All Pro.
In addition, Fusion Metal Art has created pieces honoring musicians such as Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Kasey Musgraves and Derek Sholl – an up-and-coming Country music artist.
